Last night, we were invited to the Montreux Jazz Festival. We had the choice of Leon Russel and Dr.John, or Ricky Martin. As you can probably already guess by my little quote above, we weren’t fast enough to choose our tickets, so the host chose for us. And there we were, sitting in the VIP lounge, sipping champagne and trying to process in our heads that we were about to sit through Ricky Martin’s first “livin la vida loca” after coming out of the closet.
Believe it or not, it was actually pretty fun. What i liked the most were all the gay couples in the crowd dancing, it just really touches me to see the freedom in the world, or... in the crowd. The liberation to be what you want to be... ( Those are Ricky Martin's words / lyrics ) ;)
