Happy holidays

So yesterday, my father, my brother and I all headed towards Basel. We were going there to watch the Football match, Switzerland vs. Montenegro. We got there, bought tickets and went to find some food. It was all very exciting, a big stadium full of swiss people with swiss flags and faces painted red. We were the only ones not wearing red. awkward.
It was cold, but also really fun to see all the crowds cheering for switzerland and how defensive they got when a Montenegro fan showed up. I know, interesting.
Anyway, once the match finished (Switzerland won 2:0 by the way) we left towards the car.
We drove to a petrol station to get some Gum and some water for the drive ahead of us, we were heading towards Disentis, where we would then stay in a hotel there for 2 days and do exciting things like chill at the Spa and order room service. So we bought some gum and some water. Then we carried on driving to the A1, but as we were driving we realised the car wouldn't really accelerate properly. So we pulled over, in the middle of the highway. And realised the car wouldn't start anymore. So what do we do? Well, isn't it great timing how blackberry servers are down? When we are on a highway with a car that won't start? at midnight? at -5 degrees? After a football match? on a 2 hour drive to Disentis? Yes, i couldn't agree more. It's totally great timing. NOT.

So, the blackberry is running out of battery. the servers are barely working. we can't find the insurance phone number.

15 minutes later:

We found the number. We use my brothers Iphone. ( Buy an iphone, it's apple, blackberrys suck.)

30 minutes later:

A swiss guy comes to our rescue. My father drives the car onto a truck. My brother and I get in the truck. My father sitting in the car. On the back of a truck. I dont know how many meters off the ground.

30 minutes later:

We are rescuing our Ipads and bags out of the car and moving them to our new replacement car, hello ford fiesta!!!

So, it's 3 am, we are driving home. Our Holiday is over.

I am currently sitting in the living room, surrounded by Biographies of Serge Gainsbourg and Science books, studying.
For the record, I should be ordering Room Service right now.

Yay, switzerland

Match Point

So not so long ago my mother and i watched another classic by Woody Allen. Match Point. Awesome movie. period.
It even  inspired me to maybe join my brother and my Dad when they go play a round of tennis. I even started to feel a little in place carrying the tennis racket around! But wait, nahh, screw the racket, i prefer carrying the camera! here are a few pictures of the last few autumn days

"_"

Im in love with this guy!

Art is a guarantee of sanity.

Last weekend we went to the Louise Bourgeois Beyeler Foundation in Basel. We also went to see the Jean Basquiat exposition earlier this year which was also great. During the two hour car journey to Basel we were rocking to Colette Secret Island and Ministry of Sound !
Anyway, here are a few pictures we took

Maman
“The Spider is an ode to my mother. She was my best friend. Like a spider, my mother was a weaver. My family was in the business of tapestry restoration, and my mother was in charge of the workshop. Like spiders, my mother was very clever. Spiders are friendly presences that eat mosquitoes. We know that mosquitoes spread diseases and are therefore unwanted. So, spiders are helpful and protective, just like my Mother“ -

I love the colour in the movement of this photo, almost like a painting!

And last but not least, follow her advice.
